MISALIGNMENT STUDY

BCBRA welcomes Dr. Kevin Carswell to do a study with anyone who wants to participate. At the end of the study in the spring of 2010 he will report to us the results for Barrel Racing. Please check out his information below. This is all free of charge and for our information purposes.

 The performance of the rider and horse in barrel racing may be adversely affected by the misalignment of the rider’s hips and spine (see article linked below). We’ve seen riders who have problems with their back and have to adjust their stirrups unevenly to ride. We need your help to find out how many riders have this problem. An easily completed short questionnaire is available at the following site with information pertaining to the study at the site below.
