RACE SEASON CUT-OFF: Qualifying race cut-off for the current race season is July 24, 2022.

EARLY BIRD DRAW: Contestants mailing in their finals entries by July 17, 2022(midnight) will have their names placed in an early bird draw. (NEW***) Five winners will receive $100 each. Winners will be announced at the AGM.

ENTRIES POST MARK DATE: Finals entries post marked prior to & including July 28, 2022(midnight) will not be subject to a late fee.

LATE ENTRIES: Entries received AFTER July 28, 2022 up to and including August 5, 2022 will be subject to a $50 late fee. 

NO ENTRIES ACCEPTED AFTER August 5, 2022 (midnight)

CBHI INCENTIVE: $3,000 to the Open. $15 per horse per run. Must submit a copy of horse(s) registration papers (front and back) along with the CBHI entry form to the office of the BCBRA. Further information: www.canadianbarrelincentive.com

WESTERN FORTUNES INCENTIVE: $7,500 payout to the open. Must submit a copy of horse(s) papers (front and back) to the office of the BCBRA including the Western Fortunes entry form. Further information: www.westernfortunes.com

AWARDS PRESENTATION

There is a dress code if you are receiving awards. Please read this in our rules. If you placed for an award(s), you must be present for award acceptance or authorized prior arrangements.

RACE FORMAT: will be paid out as a 5D format in the Open category only. Junior, Senior will be a 4D format. Average is based on all three runs of the weekend. Cash awarded in each go. Cash and awards in the average. AGM 2015 motion: All monies will be split evenly by 25% to each go and to the average in all categories except for the Peewees. Please read below for Peewee category..

PEEWEE RACES: will follow the following payout format. 1 – 10 entries – only 1D, 11-20 entries will be 2D, 21-30 entries will be 3D, over 30 entries will be 4D. Divisions will be split according to the number of entries, not according to time split.(Peewee must be able to complete pattern entirely on her/his own to enter this category). Only major prizes will be awarded to the average.

PEEWEE RACE (LEADLINE): This is for peewees that are lead through the pattern. Pattern will be of a smaller size. There will be no day monies paid or awards. 2 runs on Saturday. Participation bags will be awarded at the PeeWee Awards Saturday night. Please attend to receive.

DAILY AWARDS: will be awarded per division each day to the OPEN category only.

AWARDS (DAY AWARDS AND AVERAGE: Any ties will be decided by a drawing from a deck of cards. High card wins (aces excluded)

RULES OF THE SPONSORSHIP INCENTIVE: Non-transferable, members with $1500 in sponsorship will receive 1 entry fee paid for by the BCBRA in the 2022 Finals (less office fee). $500 in sponsorship will receive next year’s membership paid for by the BCBRA. Note: To obtain both incentives a minimum of $2000. in sponsorship is required. Those granted will receive credit &/or cheque after the finals.

SPONSORSHIP REQUIRED PER RIDER: $50 Open, Junior &/or Senior, $20 PeeWee (Payment is per rider, NOT per category or per horse!) Must be in the form of cash only. This sponsorship is waived if competitor has brought in a sponsor for a buckle, blanket or saddle. Please, include this information when entering, thanks J

SLACK /TRADE OUTS: Tuesday (Aug 16, 2022 at 4 pm). is the deadline, no exceptions. Request is to be Emailed to: bcbrafinals@gmail.com (Please see “Notes to Competitors” for the ruling as to requesting a trade out or slack)
